Goal
Check a specific car against a personal list of criteria. For each criterion, return a source-backed result: meets, does not meet or not proven.
What to prepare
- The exact model and configuration (for example, model, trim and powertrain) and model year.
- A clear list of criteria that can be checked. Examples: a new car with zero kilometres, a full hybrid without plug-in charging, a price around a specified amount, ISOFIX on the outer rear seats, a seven-year warranty, a Euro NCAP rating, boot capacity and real-world fuel consumption.
- Which criteria are must-haves and which are preferences.
- Tools: an agent with web search and page-reading access. Account permissions are not needed, and the agent must not contact dealerships.
Steps
- Ask the agent to turn each criterion into one question that can be checked.
- For each criterion, find a primary source (the manufacturer or importer website, an official price list or the rating organisation's own website) before secondary sources such as reviews.
- Record the finding, link and whether the figure is a manufacturer claim or an independent measurement alongside each answer.
- Check that the evidence applies to the exact model. Safety ratings, warranty and fuel-consumption figures vary between versions (petrol versus hybrid, model year and market).
- Summarise in a table: criterion, result (meets / does not meet / not proven), source and note.
- Finish with a list of steps for manual verification.
Checks
- Every row is backed by a link you actually opened.
- Manufacturer figures (for example, litres per 100 kilometres) are labelled as manufacturer figures, not real-world fuel consumption.
- Do not mark a criterion as meets without a source. Anything not found is marked not proven.
- The price applies to the correct date and market and explicitly states whether taxes and fees are included.
Limits
The agent cannot check physical fit, such as whether two child seats and a stroller actually fit. Check that at a showroom. Prices and offers change, so confirm with the dealership before deciding. The agent must not buy anything or contact sellers without separate approval.
Testing status
This submission describes a reusable workflow. No results from a completed comparison of a specific car or evidence of an actual run were supplied.
